We assembled it ourselves, it was easy and intuitive, even with two cats helping.
The mattress is very comfortable and my wife says her back pain is gone.
The only down side is despite the cooling layer, the mattress still gets a bit hot, same as a normal mattress.

I purchased the foundation with a BB Kids mattress as a floor bed for my toddler and it has been working out great! It's very comfortable for me to lay with him to sleep, and he can easily climb up into the bed. And if he were to roll off, he is not far from the ground and I can rest easy.
