The Brooklyn Essential varies in weight, starting at roughly 45 pounds for a twin to 105 pounds for a king.

The Brooklyn Essential sports breathable fabric and foam, allowing body heat to dissipate, keeping you cool. Plus, our premium individually wrapped coils allow for open airflow to prevent sleeping hot. For high-tech cooling, consider upgrading to our Aurora Luxe Cooling mattress here.
On a scale of 1 to 10, the Brooklyn Essential is a 6 on the firmness scale—giving this mattress a universal medium comfort.
The Brooklyn Essential offers high-quality individually encased coils—our premium AscensionX® coils—with a reinforced perimeter of higher gauge coils (meaning, smaller and more tightly wound coils) for unparalleled edge support.
The Brooklyn Essential supports up to 950 pounds—a standard feature of all Brooklyn Bedding mattresses. However, if you are looking for a mattress built for a plus size sleeper (or a plus size couple), please consider our Titan Plus mattress, found here.
Any mattress foundation with slats no more than 4 inches apart will work well with any of our mattresses. While a mattress foundation is not necessary, please be sure that the mattress rests on a surface with minimal to no flex.

If during your 120-night sleep trial (which begins once you receive your new mattress), you decide that you are not completely happy with your mattress and wish to return it, we will help dispose of your mattress and help you begin your return.
Please allow 30 days to laps from the date of delivery before beginning the return process.
Customers are able to make use of this 120-night comfort trial on one occasion. The second occasion is not eligible for a return.
Please note: there is a $99 return fee for all mattress returns to cover the cost of picking up your mattress. We do our very best to donate, recycle, or otherwise repurpose all returned mattresses.
