Titan Plus Luxe Uniquely Plush Benefits

YouTube Video XpGripec5l0

Purposefully Plus
From the carefully selected foams to the 8-inch steel coil core (TitanCore), this hybrid design was built for the big, tall, and powerfully strong—while offering the most plush design available

Innovative Plushness
Plush comfort is your right—and we went to work to offer the support and durability of a firm mattress with the added sag-resistant benefits of plush high-quality foam and strong contouring coils

Cooling Comfort
We began with cooling comfort at the top—added plenty of moisture-wicking technology in the top layers, and finished with a breathable coil core to allow body heat to dissipate. Add our optional GlacioTex™ Cooling Cover for high-tech cooling comfort.

More Than Just Strong, Made to Cradle You

Unique Contours
Most plus size mattresses settle for firm support—we took it up a notch (because you deserve it!) with plush yet sag-resistant foams and a supportive yet contouring innerspring

Plus Positive
We set out to design a plus positive mattress—and we didn’t stop until we had created the most luxurious, most plush, and most durable design on the market

Strong Comfort
Our core of up to 900 individually encased TitanCore coils means that you enjoy superior motion isolation, edge-to-edge support, and the ultimate shoulder and hip contouring

Sag-Resistant
Plush comfort must be built to last—and we experimented until we found foams that guarantee your top comfort layer will look the same on day one as it does in ten years

How much does the Titan Plus Luxe weigh and what are it's dimensions?

The weight of the mattress and its dimensions vary by selection. The Titan Plus Luxe weighs between 80-150 pounds.

How much weight will the Titan Plus Luxe support?

The Titan Plus Luxe mattress is designed to support up to 1,000 pounds. If you think you may need a firmer sleep experience, or both you and your sleep partner are plus-size, you might consider the Titan Plus mattress (opens in a new window)by Brooklyn Bedding, which offers a true firm sleep experience.

What type of foundation works best for this mattress?

Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are designed to be used on foundations with solid support with minimal to no flex. This includes slatted wood or metal foundations with slats no more than 5" apart, wood or metal box foundations, and solid wood or metal platforms. If you need a foundation for your new mattress, check out our foundations specifically designed for Brooklyn Bedding mattresses here (opens in a new window).

Are your Titan Plus Luxe Mattresses flippable?

Most Brooklyn Bedding mattresses should be rotated every 6 to 8 months but never flipped (or inverted). Our mattresses are designed with comfort layers on top and support layers on bottom, including individually encased coils in hybrid models. We also use higher quality materials that last much longer than traditional mattresses. The exceptions to the “no flip” rule are the Plank Firm and Plank Firm Luxe mattresses by Brooklyn Bedding. These mattresses are designed with varying firmness levels on either side of the mattress and can be flipped to customize your sleep experience.

What cooling features are available in the Titan Plus Luxe?

The Titan Plus Luxe is constructed with several cooling features. First, a uniquely woven top knit in the standard model ensures a neutral temperature environment. Second, the Titan Plus Luxe features an infusion of TitaniumGel™ in the TitanFlex™ foam layer, contributing significantly to a cooler night’s sleep. Third, the coil systems used in the construction of hybrid mattresses always allow for greater airflow than all-foam mattresses.

For even greater temperature moderation, a GlacioTex™ Cooling Cover can be added to any Titan Plus Luxe mattress as an optional feature—just look for the "Add Glaciotex™ Cooling Cover” option on the right side of the product page when making your selection. Once you add this feature to your mattress, the GlacioTex Cooling Cover will be sewn into the surface of the mattress to moderate temperature while delivering ultimate cooling on contact.

The GlacioTex™ Cooling Cover is an optional feature that does not impact the contouring, firmness level, or support of the Titan Plus Luxe mattress.

What differentiates the Titan Plus Luxe from the Titan Plus?

Sleepers in the plus-size category are more likely to see premature wear and tear on their sleep surfaces. Whether they identify as big and tall or curvy, customers in the category share problems unique to their mattresses that include:

  • More middle sag in the mattress
  • More softening of the entire sleep surface
  • Decreased edge support
  • Uneven distribution of support across the surface
  • Decreased comfort and support over time
  • More frequent night sweats
  • Increased motion transfer between sleep partners

The Titan Plus (opens in a new window) was developed as a substantial sleep surface that addresses all of these major concerns. Our next generation mattress, the Titan Plus Luxe (opens in a new window), was specifically developed in response to customer feedback from two types of people: plus-size sleepers who want ample support, but require a more medium-level feel—and plus-size sleepers whose partners are not necessarily plus-size and absolutely require more contouring.

The major differences between the Titan Plus Luxe and the Titan Plus can be found in the beds’ cores: the Titan Plus Luxe offers deeper compression support in a one-inch transitional layer of Energex™ foam, along with eight-inch individually encased TitanCore coils. The resulting density and pressure point relief are comparable to a medium-level firmness, including enhanced contouring that accommodates the comfort needs of all sleepers.

Do your mattresses have any safety certifications?

Every Brooklyn Bedding mattress is assembled in our Arizona facility, allowing us to ensure the highest quality every single time. Our mattresses are GREENGUARD Gold Certified and made with CertiPUR-US certified foams, which guarantees they are made without any harmful chemicals including ozone depleters, PBDE flame retardants, mercury, lead, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and have extremely low impact on indoor air quality.

Reviews

Good plush comfort, weak edge support

"I’m 6’3” and around 300lbs, so I was looking for a solid heavy-duty mattress w/ the Titan Plus Luxe. The plush top layer is comfortable for lying down, especially on my side or back, and the materials feel high quality. However, the edge support is disappointing. When I sit on the side of the bed, I sink in way too much and the edges sag noticeably. This makes the mattress feel less stable overall for someone my size. It’s well-made, but if strong edge support matters to you, consider a firmer option."

Marcus M. (3/5)

Titan Plus Luxe

"We absolutely love our mattress. We purchased the Titan Plus Luxe. It's comfortable and has great support. Me and my wife are bigger people and you can't go wrong with this mattress. We've had ours going on a month and I've been sleeping so much better than with our old mattress. We'll worth the price!"

Eric D. (5/5)

Does not live up to the hype

"I do love the cooling topper as it works very well, but the bed itself has terrible side support…to the point you feel like you are going to slide into the floor when attempting to get out of bed. It has also not helped mine or my husband’s back and hip pain at all. We are just riding out the 30 days in hope it changes, but if not, will start the return process. Really did have high hopes given good reviews, but my hope is quickly fading."

Lenore H. (2/5)

Squishy sides

"My husband and I have purchased 2other Titan mattresses, 1 full and 1 queen (which we have been very pleased with) in addition to this most recent purchase which is a twin. I'm surprised that the sides of the twin mattress are so squishy and soft. Almost feels like you could slide off the edge Otherwise, I sleep on it fine."

Scott G. (4/5)

Bought for lower back pain.

"Bought for lower back pain. Has not really improved. Also was hoping for improved edge support over my previous mattress and seems the same. Brought this mattress because of online reviews. I am still hoping that the back pain improves as I get used to the mattress. I do think it is a very well built mattress."

Clarence F. (3/5)

Perfect mattress

"This mattress has been great on my back. It is firm and takes a few weeks to break in. I have degenerative disk disease and arthritis in my lower back. I've been sleep better, waking and getting out of bed with no pain for the first time in 20 yrs! The best mattress I've ever owned."

Shawnda R. (5/5)

I’ve had several lumbar surgeries

"I’ve had several lumbar surgeries and have bought several mattresses some very expensive, all say they are great for comfort and sleep for people with my condition, non of them worked for me, this is my second Titan mattress I have bought and they have solved my sleep problems, no more waking up in pain or being woke due to extremities sleeping. I would definitely recommend these mattresses for lumbar problems."

MARK C. (5/5)

mushy and waaaay too soft

"I have had this for almost 6 months. I really thought I was buying a firm mattress based on what I read o the side. It is very soft and mushy. Difficult to even sit on the side of the bed because the mattress is too soft to support me. The edge drops a lot. I am disappointed. I will need to replace it with something from a store. I am done with online mattress purchasing!"

James M. (1/5)

Titan stands by their product

"I will only buy Titan mattresses from here on out. Titan stands by their mattresses! This is a replacement mattress after my other mattress started to sink. The process to get a new mattress was extremely easy. I took a couple photos, showed proof of receipt and submitted it into a Brooklyn bedding agent. The process was simple ship time was quick. This feels amazing. It was extremely comfortable. I enjoy the softness of my mattress. If had a cat, it wouldn't be able to sleep on my mattress because I love it so much. ."

Savanna T. (5/5)

Not sure what is breaking

"Not sure what is breaking in me or the bed but it is getting better. Bed is firmer than expected. The edges are soft and take a little getting use too. All in all very please with and would buy from Brooklyn again maybe not the Titan, something a little softer. We bought it hoping it would last longer than a memory foam so only time will tell!"
