"Before purchasing this mattress, I did my research. I was searching for a knock off version of a Purple hybrid resort mattress (since they are so expensive). This is the closet mattress that was similar. It is comfortable, but I did end up buying a gel grid topper separately to feel the same sensation. Overall, this bed does give me a good nights rest."

"This is our 2nd bed from Brooklyn Bedding. Our first bed, from a different company, was waaayyyy to soft. The next mattress was The Plank from Brooklyn. So, I ordered a firm for our guest bedroom/kids visiting on the weekend. I love and they loved it a couple of weekends ago. Extremely Happy with the Brooklyn with the firm Signature Hybrid. The Plank is a little to firm, so I will replace my half of the split king with the Standard Hybrid. A very excellent product---you will not be disappointed. . ."
"The mattress itself might be fine, but the initial smell is absolutely awful. The chemical off-gassing is so potent that it triggered immediate irritation in my nose and eyes while I was trying to set it up. It has a very harsh, toxic-like smell that makes the entire bedroom unusable without opening all the windows and running fans at full speed. For the price, this level of chemical fumes is highly disappointing. Buyers beware: you will need a separate, heavily ventilated space to air this thing out for days before you can even think about sleeping on it."

"The mattress is comfortable to sleep on, but the edge support is very poor. This makes it tricky to sit on the side of the bed or to sit up in bed to read without a hefty reading pillow or three. We have 2 other mattresses that do not have this problem. It also seems to have a muffin top appearance which may settle some with use. This doesn’t affect sleeping."
"The bed is very comfortable: supportive and doesn’t sink or cause pressure in specific areas. However, it doesn’t have great edge support - hard to sit up and watch TV, for example, because it sinks more at the edges. It also gets a bit warm, probably because it is a hybrid."
"We were very excited about this purchase, our most expensive bed and the first real great bed we’d ever had. However , we were disappointed when we realized it wasn’t firm enough. Both of us are waking with back pain and shoulder pain after sleeping on this bed. We made sure to get a frame with 4” or less between slats and a sturdy center cross beam, but to no avail. Unfortunately some of the blame probably lies with us for not choosing the most firm bed on the website and going with the signature hybrid king size. Also, in hindsight, we shouldn’t have gotten the cloud topper sown in as it’s too squishy. We’re hoping there’s a way to exchange and go with the plank luxe instead of, as we are still within our 120 day trial."
