Titan Plus Luxe Uniquely Plush Benefits

YouTube Video XpGripec5l0

Purposefully Plus
From the carefully selected foams to the 8-inch steel coil core (TitanCore), this hybrid design was built for the big, tall, and powerfully strong—while offering the most plush design available

Innovative Plushness
Plush comfort is your right—and we went to work to offer the support and durability of a firm mattress with the added sag-resistant benefits of plush high-quality foam and strong contouring coils

Cooling Comfort
We began with cooling comfort at the top—added plenty of moisture-wicking technology in the top layers, and finished with a breathable coil core to allow body heat to dissipate. Add our optional GlacioTex™ Cooling Cover for high-tech cooling comfort.

More Than Just Strong, Made to Cradle You

Unique Contours
Most plus size mattresses settle for firm support—we took it up a notch (because you deserve it!) with plush yet sag-resistant foams and a supportive yet contouring innerspring

Plus Positive
We set out to design a plus positive mattress—and we didn’t stop until we had created the most luxurious, most plush, and most durable design on the market

Strong Comfort
Our core of up to 900 individually encased TitanCore coils means that you enjoy superior motion isolation, edge-to-edge support, and the ultimate shoulder and hip contouring

Sag-Resistant
Plush comfort must be built to last—and we experimented until we found foams that guarantee your top comfort layer will look the same on day one as it does in ten years

The weight of the mattress and its dimensions vary by selection. The Titan Plus Luxe weighs between 80-150 pounds.

How much weight will the Titan Plus Luxe support?

The Titan Plus Luxe mattress is designed to support up to 1,000 pounds. What type of foundation works best for this mattress?

Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are designed to be used on foundations with solid support with minimal to no flex. Are your Titan Plus Luxe Mattresses flippable?

Most Brooklyn Bedding mattresses should be rotated every 6 to 8 months but never flipped (or inverted). Our mattresses are designed with comfort layers on top and support layers on bottom, including individually encased coils in hybrid models. We also use higher quality materials that last much longer than traditional mattresses. The exceptions to the “no flip” rule are the Plank Firm and Plank Firm Luxe mattresses by Brooklyn Bedding. These mattresses are designed with varying firmness levels on either side of the mattress and can be flipped to customize your sleep experience.

What cooling features are available in the Titan Plus Luxe?

The Titan Plus Luxe is constructed with several cooling features. First, a uniquely woven top knit in the standard model ensures a neutral temperature environment. Second, the Titan Plus Luxe features an infusion of TitaniumGel™ in the TitanFlex™ foam layer, contributing significantly to a cooler night’s sleep. Third, the coil systems used in the construction of hybrid mattresses always allow for greater airflow than all-foam mattresses.

For even greater temperature moderation, a GlacioTex™ Cooling Cover can be added to any Titan Plus Luxe mattress as an optional feature—just look for the "Add Glaciotex™ Cooling Cover” option on the right side of the product page when making your selection. Once you add this feature to your mattress, the GlacioTex Cooling Cover will be sewn into the surface of the mattress to moderate temperature while delivering ultimate cooling on contact.

The GlacioTex™ Cooling Cover is an optional feature that does not impact the contouring, firmness level, or support of the Titan Plus Luxe mattress.

What differentiates the Titan Plus Luxe from the Titan Plus?

Sleepers in the plus-size category are more likely to see premature wear and tear on their sleep surfaces. Whether they identify as big and tall or curvy, customers in the category share problems unique to their mattresses that include:

  • More middle sag in the mattress
  • More softening of the entire sleep surface
  • Decreased edge support
  • Uneven distribution of support across the surface
  • Decreased comfort and support over time
  • More frequent night sweats
  • Increased motion transfer between sleep partners

The Titan Plus (opens in a new window) was developed as a substantial sleep surface that addresses all of these major concerns. Our next generation mattress, the Titan Plus Luxe (opens in a new window), was specifically developed in response to customer feedback from two types of people: plus-size sleepers who want ample support, but require a more medium-level feel—and plus-size sleepers whose partners are not necessarily plus-size and absolutely require more contouring.

The major differences between the Titan Plus Luxe and the Titan Plus can be found in the beds’ cores: the Titan Plus Luxe offers deeper compression support in a one-inch transitional layer of Energex™ foam, along with eight-inch individually encased TitanCore coils. The resulting density and pressure point relief are comparable to a medium-level firmness, including enhanced contouring that accommodates the comfort needs of all sleepers.

Do your mattresses have any safety certifications?

Every Brooklyn Bedding mattress is assembled in our Arizona facility, allowing us to ensure the highest quality every single time. Our mattresses are GREENGUARD Gold Certified and made with CertiPUR-US certified foams, which guarantees they are made without any harmful chemicals including ozone depleters, PBDE flame retardants, mercury, lead, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and have extremely low impact on indoor air quality.

Reviews

Edge support could be better.

"I'm a 277lb dude and I had an old hybrid mattress for about 7 years, aged, and gained weight in that time and developed discomfort overnight. I figured a new mattress would alleviate some of the stress in my body at night and it slightly did. This mattress has a consistent firmness throughout and doesnt sink in in the middle, but the edge does flatten too mush for me to notice any extra supported edge support that the advertisement shows.. I dont feel any edge support, overall it wasnt a big change in my sleep and next time around I'll try another brand, this mattress isn't spectacular enough to come back too."

— Maria N. (3/5)

High Quality and Affordable

"This mattress and exceeded our expectations. We have purchased cheaper models and end of replacing them within a few months and can not afford the more expensive. We did our research on Titan and decided to give it a try, and we are glad we did. This is a high quality mattress at an affordable price. You will not be disappointed in it."

— Paul D. (5/5)

Night without pain

"Overall, the new mattress has been a wonderful addition. I woke without pain for the first time in years. It is comfy enough that you don’t want to get out of bed in the morning. It was a good choice for heavy people. The only reason I do not give it five stars was the set up was a tad difficult. Sleep wise though, perfection."

— Christopher Y. (4/5)

So I'm tall, my wife

"So I'm tall, my wife is short. Neither of us are small in width. So we went with the Cal King split. The choice was there for a few reasons. Less humps in the middle where most people don't sleep and it stays firm. Plus if one side wears out before the other we can more easily replace it. Its only been 2 weeks, but so far, just not and day from our old mattress. My wife finds she wishes there was a bit more padding for her hips, but I find that the support and firmness are great. The packaging and shipping was wonderful. The free pickup for our old mattress went off without a hitch, but was a week later."

— Eric B. (5/5)

Nice bed. I have it

"Nice bed. I have it on a solid wood bed with slats 2 inches apart then a bunkie board on top of the slats. I am satisfied with no complaints. The edge is mushy at first but it becomes stable and firm in about a week or two. I highly recommend the bed for overweight people. It’s a cool bed with the “glacier” added as I am a very hot sleeper."

— Sheryl J. (5/5)

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

"Very disappointed. My husband is 240lbs and suffers from back and hip pain. By reading the reviews, he thought this mattress would really help with his pain but his pain is actually worse now than with the old mattress. The description says the edges were reinforced but i'm only 135lbs and when i sat on the edge i did not feel that the edges were reinforced, they bowed out when i sat on it, how is that reinforced? Also, when I first layed on the mattress , I was not impressed, i did not feel this matress was firm at all. . I've contacted customer service twice with no response. I just want this mattress picked up and my money refunded so I can buy a mattress that will truly help with my husband's back and hip pain."

— Christina G. (1/5)

Good bed, but lacking edge support

"So far I do like the mattress. I bought it hearing it was one of the best for plus size side sleepers, but the dipping on the edges when sitting bothers me my much older mattress that I upgraded from, that was at least 13 years old had less give than this mattress"

— Katy K. (3/5)

Soft Edges

"Decent mattress for the price. Hoping it holds up as advertised. It is softer than expected after reading reviews on firm mattresses. The edges are also very soft because it arrived shrink wrapped. Anywhere within 2 feet of the edge and you can feel yourself rolling off."

— Melissa R. (3/5)

Just not for me

"I give it 3 stars just because it doesn’t work for me. I have hip arthritis and researched the best mattress and the Titian luxe came in as the best, but does not work for me. So, I would suggest if you can go to a store and lay on them you should. I have not had a good night sleep since I bought it. I am going to keep it and maybe after I have surgery it will be better. I do give 5 stars for craftsmanship, no sagging , looks like it is a great mattress just not for me right now."

— Melissa L. (3/5)

I purchased my first BB

"I purchased my first BB mattress a good decade ago and it lasted me a good 8 years. I loved sleeping so much on my previous one that when it finally came up on needing a new one, I saved up for a replacement. It is glorious laying down onto my mattress, letting the perfect level of firmness and softness take me off to sleep. Yes, it is a bit pricey but the level of comfort is worthwhile. You can feel the quality of the materials used."
